Diagnostics before parts
Modern vehicles will happily throw a fault code that points at a sensor when the real problem is the wiring loom feeding it. Replacing the sensor gets you a fresh code and a lighter wallet. We diagnose properly: scan tool readout, live data, voltage-drop testing across the circuit, and physical inspection of connectors and earth points before anything is ordered.
That approach costs a little more time up front and saves considerably more in parts that never needed replacing.
Charging, starting and flat-battery mysteries
A battery that keeps going flat is usually one of three things: the battery itself is at end of life, the alternator isn't charging properly at idle, or something on the vehicle is drawing current after shutdown. That last one — a parasitic drain — is the classic 'it only happens when the car sits for a few days' complaint, and it is very often an aftermarket accessory, a dashcam wired to a permanently live circuit, or a faulty relay or door switch.
We test the battery under load, measure charging output across the rev range, and current-test the circuits one by one to find the drain rather than guessing at it.
Wiring, lighting and accessory installation
Wiring done badly is a fire risk and an intermittent-fault generator. We repair looms properly — correct gauge cable, soldered or crimped to spec, heatshrink sealed, fused appropriately and routed away from heat and chafe points. Corroded earth points, a very common cause of bizarre unrelated symptoms, get cleaned and reterminated.
On the install side we fit dashcams, reversing cameras, LED and driving lights, stereos and speakers, work lights, inverters, dual-battery and DC-DC systems for camping and work vehicles, and towbar and trailer wiring. Everything is fused, tidy, hidden where it should be and tested before handover.
Mobile service, on your driveway
Most auto electrical work doesn't need a hoist, so we come to you — home, workplace or worksite — which saves you a day of arranging lifts and sitting in a waiting room. We service cars, utes, vans, light trucks, fleet vehicles, caravans, boats and trailers.
Where a job genuinely needs specialist workshop equipment or certification, we'll say so up front and point you to the right place rather than half-doing it.
