What we take care of

Home gyms and commercial floors, both covered

Fitness gear takes more punishment than almost anything else in a house. A treadmill deck absorbs tonnes of impact a week, cable machines run steel under constant load, and consoles live in a warm, sweaty environment that corrodes contacts. Small faults get worse quickly, and a worn treadmill belt or a frayed cable is a genuine injury risk.

We work on home setups and commercial floors alike — gyms, physio clinics, hotel fitness rooms, workplace wellness spaces and school gyms. For businesses we can work outside opening hours so your members never see a machine taped off.

The most common faults we fix

On treadmills, the top three are belt and deck wear, drive-belt slippage, and motor controller faults. A belt that has gone dry and glazed drags on the deck, which loads the motor and eventually cooks the controller board — catching it early turns a controller replacement into a belt lubrication and tension job.

On bikes and rowers, it is usually the resistance system: a magnetic brake out of calibration, a stretched drive belt, or a console that has lost its speed sensor signal. On cable machines and multi-gyms it is cables, pulleys and carriage bearings. All of these are wear items with a predictable life, and all of them are replaceable.

What a service visit includes

A standard service covers belt tension and tracking, deck condition, lubrication, drive-belt inspection, fastener torque check across the frame, electronics and console function test, and a load test of every moving station. You get a written condition report listing anything approaching end of life, so you can plan spend rather than react to a breakdown.

For commercial clients we can set up a scheduled maintenance programme with documented safety checks — the kind of paperwork that keeps insurers and health and safety auditors happy.

Assembly and relocation

Buying secondhand or moving house? We assemble flat-packed and boxed equipment properly, level and calibrate it, and check the electrical supply is suitable — a treadmill on a shared circuit with a heat pump will trip breakers all winter.

We also disassemble and relocate heavy gear safely, which protects both your equipment and your floors and doorframes.

Frequently asked questions

Do you service commercial gym equipment?

Yes. We service commercial gyms, clinics, hotels and workplace fitness rooms, and can work outside opening hours to avoid downtime.

How often should a treadmill be serviced?

Home treadmills benefit from an annual service; commercial machines usually need servicing every three to six months depending on hours of use.

Can you replace a treadmill running belt?

Yes. We supply and fit replacement belts and decks for most major brands, and reset the tension and tracking afterwards.

What does fitness equipment repair cost?

Jobs start from NZ$140. You get a firm quote after diagnosis and before any parts are fitted.

Do you assemble new equipment?

We do — including levelling, calibration and a full safety check once it is built.
